- 2. What is Networking:- •A computer network or data network is a telecommunication network which allows to computer to exchange data in this process we can easily share data internet connections, printer, hard disk etc.
- 3. Types of Network :- •LAN (Local Area Network) •WAN (Wide Area Network) •MAN (Metropolitan Area Network) •PAN (Public Area Network) •CAN (Campus Area Network)
- 4. LAN :- •Lan stands for local area network . • This type of network is located in singale geographical location such as single room and single building •Lan is also called either net •Devices used :- HUB , Switch ,Cable
- 5. WAN:- •WAN stands for wide area network •Wan is a network that cover large geographical area using a communication channels that combines telephone lines satellite microwave and other. •Devices used :- Router
- 6. MAN:- •MAN stans for metropolitan area network. •The network which connect the computer in the different part of the same big city. •Devices used :- Switch

- 9. UTP Cable • UTP stands for unshielded twisted pair • UTP cable are found in many ethernet network and telephone system • UTP cable is also most common cable used in computer networking • In UTP we have 8 categories • Types of UTP cable • Straight cable • Cross cable • Roll cable
