Non-aqueous rain (N.A.R.) is a rare meteorological phenomenon where animals like fish and frogs fall from the sky, typically caused by waterspouts lifting them during thunderstorms. While animals usually survive the fall, some may freeze or become encased in ice, and this phenomenon has been reported globally in various locations. Theories regarding animal rain suggest strong winds may carry the animals, although myths persist about it occurring in fair weather.

- 2. What is non-aqueous rain (N.A.R.)? Rare but well-known meteorological phenomenon. There have been reports of fish, frogs, and worms all falling from the sky. Recorded throughout the ages and all over the world Meteorologists don’t know when this will occur
- 3. What causes N.A.R.? There are multiple theories about how animals and insects are picked up. In thunderstorms, waterspouts may form over bodies of water. When they pass over water, fish, frogs, or other small animals may be picked up and carried up to several miles. Then, the clouds carrying them will start “raining”—pouring the animals over the land. FISH And also frogs.
- 4. What happens to the animals? Most of the time, animals survive the fall, especially fish , which suggests the animals are dropped shortly after extraction. In some cases, however, the animals are frozen to death or encased in ICE . What will happen to me?????
- 5. Real? Nope, MYTH. There are unconfirmed cases in which rainfalls of animals have occurred in fair weather and in the absence of strong winds or waterspouts . "It is raining cats and dogs" doesn’t have any connection to the "raining animals" phenomenon.
- 6. What are the other theories? André-Marie Ampèr e suggested that sometimes frogs and toads traveled together in large numbers, and that strong winds could pick them up and carry them great distances. What Up With That? Many theories don’t account for how all of the animals in these incidents would only be from one species and not a group of similarly-sized animals. ...REALLY?!
- 7. WHERE does this even happen ? Pretty much anywhere! Reports of animals/insects falling from the sky in: Honduras, England, Minnesota, Australia, Louisiana, Alabama, Japan, Argentina, and many more places. Not HERE
