Notes on Class 1
How does Computer parts work?
CPU: The brain of a computer system is the central processing unit of a computer
system. The CPU is in charge of processing all operations and sending commands
to the computer. A faster processing system is aided by a more powerful CPU.
Ram: RAM (Random Access Memory) is a computer component that stores data
utilized by the operating system and software applications so that the CPU can
process it rapidly. If the computer is turned off, everything saved in RAM is lost.
There is usually a maximum amount of RAM required for the computer to perform
effectively, depending on the apps you use.
Storage Space:There are two options for Storage Space. It can be either Hard Disk
Drive (HDD) or Solid State Drive (SSD). The use of HDD has become old that
includes storing data on a disk, which is a slower process. SSD is the new storage
type that stores data on a memory chip, and it is a faster process.
Motherboard: There is no acronym for this component, but a computer would not
bepossiblewithout it. All other components havea home on the Motherboard, which
allows them to communicate with one another and provides them with the power
they need to work. There are some components that do not require a physical
connection to the Motherboard to function, such as Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, but if there
is no connection or signal, the computer will be unaware of its presence.
Graphics Card: The graphics card is a piece of computer hardware that is
responsible for rendering images on the monitor or display screen.
Network Card:Your computer's network card enables it to interact over a network
and connect to the Internet. It can connect via either an Ethernet cable or a wireless
link (often called Wi-Fi). Many motherboards have network connections built in,
and a network card can be installed to an expansion slot as well.
Bluetooth Card: Bluetooth is a wireless communication technology that works
across short distances. It's commonly used to communicate with wireless keyboards,
mouse, and printers in PCs. It's usually present in a wireless network card or built
into the motherboard. A USB adaptor, often known as a dongle, can be purchased
for computers that do not have Bluetooth.
