This document focuses on the importance of adhesion between ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) and cell metallizations in crystalline photovoltaic (PV) modules, detailing testing methods to assess this adhesion, particularly in the context of back-surface-field (BSF) aluminum and front contact silver layers. It highlights challenges such as the lack of industry standards and the impact of moisture on adhesion, along with the trade-offs between adhesion and wafer bow characteristics. The experimental results suggest that optimizing material properties can lead to improved performance in both adhesion strength and bow characteristics in PV cells.
