Mrs. Roussell’s Classroom Newsletter Oct. 5th – Oct. 9th This Week’s Assignments Reading – This week in Reading we will be reading short passages and working on how to answer questions that follow. Our main focus will be pulling details from the passages to support our answers. Writing – Students will continue working on their narrative. We will work all week on revising our piece and writing our final copy. Spelling – Students will be given Unit 7 Spelling words for the week. Grammar practice will be due Friday. They will be tested over the words on Friday. Math – We will be reviewing graphs this week. We will look at some different graphs, answer some questions from them, and maybe create some. Students will have a quiz at the end of the week. Science - We will be talking about mixtures and solutions. Students will also be conducting some science experiments dealing with matter. A study guide will be filled out this week as well. Reminders to Parents 1. Remember to check the blog for new pictures and updates. 2. Check your child’s assignment book nightly and ask them about their day at school.
