Abstract -Speaking specifically about grocery shopping
apps, individuals prefer to take advantage of them quite
often. The thing is the features of grocery shopping list apps
are highly appreciated by the audience since they allow
drawing up lists to go food shopping, ordering grocery
suppliers online, delivering foodstuff wherever required, in
case a person can’t pick it up at the grocery store, and much
more. As you see, the owners of grocery shopping apps
significantly facilitate the lives of their users in many
different ways. If we think about ourselves as well as
others and ask a simple question: “Would you like to
get the grocery while sitting at home rather than
wandering outside in search of shops and good quality
products?” What wouldbeyouranswer, in most ofthecases
the answer would be a big “YES”. So our project is to
develop and design an Online Grocery Store that will
provide the grocery of good quality at the doorstep to the
customers within the specified time. This store will
provide services in most of the cities including non
metro cities. The working of this Online Store will
be completely based on the local vendors of the city, unlike
the existing systems, who provide grocery directly from the
manufacturers.
Key Words: Tier 3 cities are including in the APP, Fresh
products delivered.
1. INTRODUCTION
Grocery shopping is an android application where users
can buy grocery products online. Grocery Products are
displayed in the effective graphical user interface. This
system will be like a virtual supermarket. User can select
the product he wants to buy and the selected product
will be added to t h e cart. Cart contains t h e user’s
name, contact details, a product he had selected, and the
amount. Users can search for the product through
categories like Fruits, Vegetables, Detergents, etc. After
selecting products user can make payment through cash on
delivery or by credit card. For credit card payment user has
to enter 16 digit credit card number and CVV number. After
payment, the groceries will be delivered to his specified
address. Since this system is made in android it is easily
available on smartphones. Customer who has phones
supporting android can easily use the application and can
buy their grocery. There is no need for waiting in a long
queue. No need of carrying heavy bags and struggling with
trolleys. Customers can purchase products sitting at home
by viewing images of different grocery products and adding
them to the shopping cart.
1.1 Existing System As mentioned above, there have
been some systems in the market to give groceries at the
doorstep. Some examples of such systems are Big Basket
and Grofers.
The above-mentioned Online Grocery Stores have gained a
lot of success in metro cities like Mumbai Pune, Chennai,
Bangalore, Noida, Ahmedabad, etc.
But as we said earlier they were unable to gain success
in non-metropolitan cities. Another aspect where these
stores fall short is time, thedelivery times of these stores are
long. In the case of Big Basket, they only have three-time
slots for delivery in a day, which doesn’t fulfill the fast
delivery feature. In the case of above mentioned st stores,
they take the order from customers at any time of the day
but d deliver the order in Any one of the three time slots.
In non-metro cities also there is a requirement for a
system, which can probably ease the life of people and
also to reduce the wastage of time.
1.2 Proposed System
As we know that grocery is an important part of our daily
life. All human beings, mayitbe a college student,a bachelor
staying away fromhome due to a jobor eventhelocal people
in a city or townl of them need grgroceries
If we think about ourselves as well as others and ask
a simple question: “Would you like to get the grocery
while sitting at home rather than wandering outside in
search of document should be in cambria font. Type 3 fonts
must not be used. Other font types may beusedif neededfor
special purposes.
Shops and good quality products?” What would be your
answer, in most cases the answer would be a big “YES”. So
our project is to develop and design an Online Grocery
Store that will provide the grocery of good quality at the
doorstep to the customers within the specified time. This
store will provide services in most the cities including
nonmetro cities. The working of this Online Store
will be completely based on the local vendors of the

city, unlike the existing systems, which provide groceries
directly from the manufacturers.
The involvement of local vendors adds up to the advantages
of this system likewise: If local vendors are involved then it
assures the quality of the product. And secondly, as the
vendors are of the same locality as the customer, it
makes the delivery of products ductless and time-
consuming. Hence, felicitating fast delivery feature.
2. Operational Feasibility
As our project consists of a webpageanda mobileapplication
that has a very Simple Graphical User Interface.
So to use it a person need not be a highly technical person,
even a common person can use it very easily. The person
using our website or application does not need to know any
kind of programming language and also does not need to
have technical knowledge. People belonging to any age
group can use our website and application without any
issues. Overall, our project is very much operationally
feasible.
Table -1:
Fig -1: SYSTEM ANALYSIS AND DESIGN
Mobile apps for grocery shopping have been growing in
popularity for years, but in 2020, this industry’s growth
went through the roof. Traditional grocery chains started to
develop and improve their grocerysoftwaretoletcustomers
order food and beverages
As the requirements of the project are not large and the
objective of the project is well defined, well understood
among the team members, and the schedule for the
project is initially marked out, the project can be
satisfactorily completed within the expected timeline.
However, some issues may arise due to alot of content but,
they can be solved with proper planning and team efforts.
Thus the project is timely feasible.
2.1 Technical Feasibility
The project is quite feasible technically as it can be
implemented using the support and features provided by
the programming languages and handy software tools
which are easily available to user. Also with the
technical support of the books available , internet
resources and internal staff the technical obstacles that
are expected/unexpected could be resolved without much
delay.
Also there is no special hardware involved in the system.
Thus the overall project is technically feasible

Problem definition:
The grocery industry is quite extensive considering the
parameters and it is growingby leaps andbounds regardless
of the challenges it is fraught with. We all need survival
food, so we all go to a grocery to quench this basic human
need. A growing trend of online grocery shopping has been
seen. Several reasons can be attributed to this. From high-
pressure jobs to the convenience of Grocery Delivery
Application, to distances, long queues at the mall,
maintaining work-life balance, etc. you can have
innumerable reasons why people prefer online grocery
shopping to buy groceries from brick and mortar stores.
But there are online grocery delivery challenges that the
consumers and the service providers enjoy over the years.
If you look at parents today, they juggle with so many
responsibilities than what the parents of older generations
had to do. Paying EMIs, long working hours are propelling
parents towards ease of onlineshoppingtopurchasefoodfor
their children. Parents arethe biggest demographic which is
leading towards the Grocery Delivery Application trend.
The grocery store owners must plan to conduct some
awareness programs to such people and grow your brand
reputation. By this, the people will show interest to go for
online ordering from our grocery deliveryappdevelopment.

2.2. Financial Feasibility
Since no special hardware is required for the system the
direct or indirect cost required for the development and
the deployment of the project is reduced.
As our project consists ofa webpageanda mobileapplication
it does not require any financial help.
We will only needa web domain and nothing else. Hence, our
project is financially very feasible.
Conclusion -
User purchase grocery products through his
mobile phones that support android. The user does not
havetowaitinalong queueanddoesnothavetostrugglewith

productsaccordingtotheirlikes. this application canbe used
