This document discusses learning circles, which are lightly-facilitated study groups that meet at libraries for learners taking online courses together. Learning circles aim to address issues like isolation, difficulty, and lack of support that some learners face. They provide a community for learners and are facilitated by volunteers. Libraries are seen as highly accessible spaces to host learning circles. The benefits identified include increased digital skills, peer learning, and community support that can help learners complete courses. Feedback from pilots was positive, with learners interested in taking more courses and facilitating.
