Individual Project Option
When OpinioNation Inc.is awarded a contract to conduct a survey / evaluation study for a
client or an individual project, our Project Services could include all or part of the
following:
1. Questionnaire consultation and formulation.
2. TOUCHSCREEN SURVEYCENTRE / SurveyPad programming.
OpinioNation has 26 years of experience utilizing our specialized interactive
evaluation technology. The questions, answers and the wording of such must
adhere to professional market research standards. It is understood to ensure
that typical respondent completes the survey in the appropriate length of time
and has an enjoyable experience. The questionnaires are to be programmed in
the manner that OpinioNation recommends this includes the layout and
presentation of screens.
OpinioNation recommends that the first screen be a Welcome screen with a graphic
or logo supplied by the client (in jpg format). The graphics/logos can also be
included as part of the thank you screen and even as part of a question screen.
If questionnaires are required in additional languages for example French, Spanish,
Italian, German etc.., our software branch logic feature allows the evaluations to move
between the languages and other evaluations in a blink of an eye. It also allows for the
treeing and skipping of questions based on prior answers or multiples of answers.
3. Evaluation pre-tests.
OpinioNation will conduct a pre-test of the evaluation with project officials. The purpose
of the pre-test is to: a) Ensure that respondents can clearly read and understand the
evaluation; b) Easily record their answers by simply touching the screen with their finger;
and c) The time it takes to complete the evaluation is not too long for a typical
respondent.
Following the pre-test any changes (if required) to an evaluation/questionnaire are be
made by OpinioNation immediately.
4. Use of TOUCHSCREEN SURVEYCENTRE(s) and /or SurveyPads for conducting the on-
site evaluations.
A senior OpinioNation representative arrives a bit ahead of the project launch to set-up
the TOUCHSCREEN SURVEYCENTRES / SurveyPads on-site in an area designated by the
Project Officer. All the client needs to supply is a table(s) to place the unit(s) on, power
outlet for the units, minor signage and a secure place to lock & store the units when they
are not collecting data. Some of our past clients have chosen to have available small
tokens giveaways such as: pens; pins; business card holders; T-shirts; coffee mugs,
bags; CD’s; etc...
In the effort to obtain the largest sampling of respondents possible, some clients, choose
to have an OpinioNation representative on-site to actively, invite people to participate in
the evaluation. In other cases, the projects call for respondents to be randomly selected
and that too can easily be done.
5. Data Collection Dates
To be determined by the requirements of the project.
6. Reports
Prior to the Final Reports books being submitted OpinioNation prepares for your review
an Executive Summary Report for the project. The Executive Summaries will include all
the questions, answers, number of respondents, Line Bar Chart, Case Percent, Cases, &
Raw Percent. This includes any questions that might have multiple answers and grids.
OpinioNation then prepares a Final Report Book. The report book contains the following:
a) Executive Results Report: This report will include all the questions, answers, number
of respondents, Line Bar Chart, Case Percent, Cases, & Raw Percent. This includes
any questions that might have multiple answers and grids;
b)Hard Copy Text of the questionnaire;
c) Review of each Individual Question. This includes the Question results, Question text,
Graphic 3-D Pie Charts, Graphic 3-D Bar Charts, and actual TOUCHSCREEN
SURVEYCENTRE screen view of the question.
d)Cross tab Report. This report will be on questions by other question as selected by the
client. This includes any questions that might have multiple answers and grids. The
crosstabs will include counts for individual cells, rows and columns. The counts will
include the number of respondents, number of responses, along with percentages by
responses and cases.
e) Photos taken on Site
f) Branch Logic Statements for the evaluation. These statements direct what questions
an individual respondent received.
g)The project manager, to be presented with one coloured hard copy Evaluation Report
Book. You will also receive an OpinioNation Project Report DVD’s. The submitted
report files found on the DVD will be in .pdf file format and .docx which can be
accessed in Microsoft Word.
7. Fee for service:
As each project is unique and client requirements are varied and different, various
factors determine the fee such as:
a) Number of languages that the questionnaire is available in;
b)Number of screens;
c) Complexity of questionnaire and screens;
d)Number of TOUCHSCREEN SURVEYCENTRES utilized;
e) Data collection on-site time;
f) Number of projects;
g)Number of items requested to be part of the final report; and
h)Requirement for OpinioNation representatives; etc…
The fees for service are paid in three instalments:
33% At the time of contract signing, to secure the units and the OpinioNation
representative for the required dates. Questionnaire consultation.
33% At the start of project programming.
33% At the time the project report is submitted.
8. Expenses
If travel is required for conducting surveys, it is understood OpinioNation must submit an
expense report and with receipts to obtain reimbursement of expenses. Expenses to be
covered are items such as: air travel (economy) or mileage; accommodations at a client
designate hotel; meals/per diem as outline by the client’s company travel guidelines; if
required rental vehicle for moving and transporting the units in a project city or taxis;
in/out of town parking; long distance telephone; shipping of the units to the project site,
etc… Note: In some cases, clients have chosen to have expenses directly billed to them.
