But  this ignores the other contact which preceded it and which influenced the users behaviour  until they were led to that last click: A user who clicks on an advertisement has been exposed to 2.2 advertisements on average during the day preceding the action, 5.5 advertisements during the two previous days. It is a lot, but its  less than a third of advertisements  to which they will have been exposed in the 3 previous months

MEASURE THROUGH THE CLICK I visited the advertiser’s  website by typing  the address into my tool bar I looked for information about the product/ brand on social networking websites Behavior of internet users who have visited a site which hosts advertisements 31% I clicked on the advertisement I searched for the product/the brand  on an internet search engine I didn’t see any advertisements Other I did none of the above 27% 21% 9% 2% 1% 37% Source : iProspect - May 2009 I do not remember visiting that site 9%

Par rapport à cette moyenne, l&apos;étude montre que les sites média et les sites de services ont des résultats supérieurs respectivement de 9% et 12%. Les sites de jeux et de e-commerce* enregistrent des résultats inférieurs de 38% et 42% à la moyenne. Les sites des autres contenus et les réseaux sociaux sont proches de la moyenne, respectivement à +5% et -1%. La durée moyenne passée sur une page avec publicité (PAP) est de 33 secondes. Cet indicateur met en avant l&apos;intérêt des contenus consultés. Il détermine aussi la borne supérieure de visibilité d&apos;une publicité. En effet, si une page est vue 10 secondes, la publicité affichée dans cette page peut être vue au maximum 10 secondes. Les sites de marques média se détachent de la moyenne avec une durée par PAP supérieure de 28% à la moyenne, ce qui prouve la corrélation entre la qualité des contenus et le temps passé à les consulter.   Viennent ensuite les réseaux sociaux (+20%), les sites de e-commerce* (+3%), les sites de jeux (-3%), les autres sites de contenus (-7%) et les sites de services (-11%). La durée de visibilité d&apos;une publicité est de 15 secondes. Cette durée est la résultante des deux indicateurs précédents : une publicité bien placée sur une page vue longtemps est vue...longtemps. Les sites de marques média combinent de bons scores sur les deux indicateurs et affichent donc une durée moyenne de visibilité 40% supérieure à la moyenne. Les réseaux sociaux bénéficient du bon score de leurs pages pour afficher une durée par impression 14% supérieure à la moyenne.  Les sites de services, de jeux et les autres contenus sont proches de la moyenne (respectivement -2%, -1% et -10%), devant les sites de e- commerce* (-48%).
