 AI is accomplished by studying how human brain thinks, and how humans
learn, decide, and work while trying to solve a problem, and then using the
outcomes of this study as a basis of developing intelligent software and
systems.
 Artificial Intelligence ( AI ) is the branch of computer science which deal
with intelligence of machine where an intelligent agent is a system that
takes actions which maximize its chance of success.
 A further step towards the development of
modern AI was the creation of The Logic
Theorist. Designed by Newell and Simon in
1955 it may be considered the first AI program.
 The modern history of AI can be traced back to
the back to the year 1956 when John
McCarthy proposed the term as the topic for a
conference held at Dartmouth College.
John McCarthy
( September 4, 1927 –
October 24, 2011 )
 Less Errors: errors are reduced and the chance of reaching accuracy with a
greater degree of precision is a possibility.
 Faster Decisions: Using Artificial intelligence, decisions can be taken very
fast.
 No Breaks: Unlike humans, machines can work 24*7 without any break.
 Medical Applications: Increasing the integration of A.I. tools in every day
medical applications could improve the efficiency of treatments and avoid
cost by minimizing the risk of false diagnosis.
And Many More……..
 Automated Transportation
 Improved elder care
 Healthcare
 Agriculture
 Aerospace and Defense
 Manufacturing
 Chatbots : A chatbot works in much the same way as a human
manning a help desk. When a customer opens a chat dialogue
to ask for assistance, the chatbot is the medium responding.
Examples : Hike Natasha, eCommers Help Desk.
 Speech Recognition : The goal of speech recognition research
is to allow computers to understand human speech. So that
they can hear our voices and recognize the words we are
speaking.
Examples : Siri, Cortana, Google Voice, Alexa, etc.
 Robotics : Robots can now understand and learn from
images, videos, and audio. Some robots even have a
rudimentary ability to reason.
Sophia is the almost complete example AI.
 Autonomous : Tesla vehicles produced in our factory,
including Model 3, have the hardware needed for full
self-driving capability at a safety level substantially
greater than that of a human driver.
 Job at Risk : 80 million jobs in the United States are
at risk of being taken over by robots in the next few
decades, a Bank of England (BoE) official warned.
 Self Modifying : when combined with self-
replication, can lead to dangerous, unexpected
results, such as new and frequently mutating
computer virus.
