This document provides an overview of different types of wireless networks, including Bluetooth, WiFi, and ZigBee. Bluetooth connects devices over short distances of 0-100 meters using radio waves in the 2.4-2.485 GHz range. WiFi uses the 802.11 standard to connect devices in a local area network without wires using frequencies of 2.4 or 5 GHz. ZigBee is designed for low power wireless personal area networks over distances of 10-100 meters in the 2.4, 900 MHz, or 868 MHz bands. Each technology has advantages for different use cases depending on the needed range, data rate, power consumption, and number of supported devices.
