This document presents an optimized palm vein authentication algorithm using the CASIA-Palmprint v1 dataset, highlighting the advantages of palm vein technology over traditional biometric methods. The proposed system processes raw images to extract vascular patterns for authentication, utilizing techniques such as Local Binary Patterns (LBP) and Support Vector Machines (SVM). The study illustrates the high accuracy and security potential of palm vein recognition in various applications, while addressing concerns in the biometric field.
