PDHPE • PDHPE is one of the 6 key learning areas in the primary school curriculum • It focuses on all areas of health including: physical, mental, social and spiritual. • It encourages respect for both yourself and others • It promotes knowing how to be safe in your environment and making informed decisions • It teaches students about the body, how it works, how it changes etc.
- 3. Why is PDHPE important? • Students don’t only learn about getting active but also how to lead a fully healthy lifestyle. They learn about nutrition, interpersonal relationships, healthy choices, growth and development, personal identity and safe living.
