Steps in Instructional
Goal
Performance Objective Assessment
I. Learners will be
able to format cells in
a given Excel 2010
worksheet.
Learners will watch three video
tutorials (CN) and simulate
modeled activities and
behavior carried out by either
the voice prompt or the face-
to-face instructor (B) in order
to format cells in a given Excel
Application question:
1. True/ False:
Adding a comment would allow you
to view the comment made by the
administrator on a cell when you
move your cursor over the cell only:
True: User can see the comments

accuracy or better (CR).
only when he/she needs to view it
giving the design a clean look.
False: User can see all the comments
at the same time whether or not they
want to view the comment.
2. Yes/No:

“=today()” function to set a previous
date?
Yes.
No.
3. How can naming a range of
information be helpful in the long
run?
a) I could use this information to
save a file.
b) Naming a range of data allows
me to sort the information within
the range using more advanced
function.
RUNNING HEAD: Performance Objective: Excel 2010 for DBL group 3
c) Naming the range of data has no
known use.
d) Naming a range of data will
always be displayed in the document
at all time.
II. Learners will be
able to format
worksheets in a given
Excel 2010
worksheet.
Learners will watch three video
tutorials (CN) and simulate
modeled activities and
behavior carried out by either
the voice prompt or the face-
to-face instructor (B) in a given
Excel 2010 worksheet with
90% accuracy or better (CR).
Application questions:

feature.
RUNNING HEAD: Performance Objective: Excel 2010 for DBL group 5
d) Even if you drag the formula after
the shows up at the cell, it does not
carry on the function to the next cell.
III. Learners will be
able to add objects to
a given Excel 2010
worksheet.
Learners will watch three video
tutorials (CN) and simulate
modeled activities and
behavior carried out by either
the voice prompt or the face-
to-face instructor (B) in order
to format cells in a given Excel
2010 worksheet with 90%
accuracy or better (CR).
Application questions:

design.
b) You must enter the information
every time manually.
c) You must already have your
options for the drop down pick list
item listed on another sheet.
d) both a and c.
IV. Learners will be
able to add security
features in a given
Excel 2010
worksheet.
Learners will watch three video
tutorials (CN) and simulate
modeled activities and
behavior carried out by either
the voice prompt or the face-
to-face instructor (B) in order
to sort, range and publish a
given Excel 2010 worksheet
with 90% accuracy or better
(CR).
