- 12. Géant, the Pan-European Research an Education Network The GÉANT network is cofunded by the European Commission within its 7th R&D framework program. With 41 partners, it connects 34 NREN partner countries with 50,000 km of network infrastructure and over 12,000 km of lit fibre.
