I am going to spend the next 10 minutes talking about how PernixData FVP, the industry’s first Flash Hypervisor, is going to change the way you look at storage forever Our flagship product, PernixData FVP, virtualizes server side flash to enable scale-out storage performance that is independent of capacity. • #18: Perhaps most importantly, for the first time ever, you can scale-out performance independent of storage capacity Storage performance is delivered from flash in the server not a shared storage device. This maximizes performance and enables you to scale storage performance as you scale your virtual infrastructure
• #19: The PernixData solution results in two enormous benefits: Better VM response times. On average, you will see a 10x performance improvement in latency across all applications, as individual VM response times are reduced from milliseconds to microseconds with FVP. Because we accelerate both reads and writes, we optimize all applications – from SQL and VDI to Exchange and SharePoint. Better storage performance. A mid-range SAN maxes out at about 50,000 IOPS. Performance only gets worse as you add more hosts and VMs. Out of the gate, PernixData delivers more IOPS than a SAN alone – in this instance about 2x the performance.
