 How is it like and unlike Earth?
 Look at lattitude and longitude lines:
 Are they all the same length?
 Are they spaced equidistant apart?
 Do they meet?
 At what angles do latitude lines meet longitude
lines?
 Latitude lines are parallel
 Latitude lines are equally spaced
 Latitude and longitude lines meet at right angles
 Longitude lines meet at poles
 Same shape as earth
 Shapes (continents and oceans) are maintained
 Relative distances and sizes are maintained
 Can be used to show direction
