We determine locations on Earth using lines of latitude and longitude, which are shown on globes. Globes are similar but not identical to Earth, as latitude lines are parallel and equally spaced, while longitude and latitude lines meet at right angles. Globes also maintain the same shapes of continents and oceans as Earth.
