This document summarizes the results of a pilot questionnaire about horror film preferences. It discusses that the pilot study found most people enjoyed horror films. It notes that a question about genre may have been too broad and will be removed. Another section discusses that including splatter and slasher genres may have been useful given the focus. Most respondents preferred a victim home alone setting and a kitchen knife as the weapon, which were seen as realistic options. The results supported using a serial killer as the villain for perceived realism.
