Accreditation is a voluntary process where an educational program submits to an external body for review to ensure it meets standards. There are three main areas for accreditation under curriculum and instruction: 1) curriculum and program of studies which includes subject areas and skills, 2) classroom management using appropriate techniques for effective teaching, and 3) utilizing different instructional methodologies in the classroom to support an effective learning process.

- 2. Accreditation This is a voluntary process of submitting a curricular program to an external accrediting body for review in any level of education; basic, tertiary or graduate school to assure standard.
- 3. What are the areas for accreditation under curriculum and instruction?
- 4. 1. Curriculum and Program of Studies -Includes the clusters of knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and experiences. -For basic education, it includes the subject areas in English, Mathematics, Scienc e, Filipino and Makabayan.
- 5. 2. Classroom Management The use of appropriate classroom management is suggested for effective instruction. The teacher’s role is to act as manager of learner’s and learning.
- 6. 3. Instructional Processes or Methodologies Curriculum accreditors see to it that different methodologies are utilized in the classrooms by the teachers for effective teaching-learning process. Further, teachers are also guided, supported and manage by their school officials.
