Solve Number and Practical Problems
There are 6 eggs in every box. I need 45 eggs.
How many boxes shall I buy?
I need 33 pens for my class. Pens come in packs of 7.
How many packs will I need to buy?
There are 9 oranges in every bag. I need 60 altogether.
How many bags will I need to buy?
6 x 7 = 42 eggs (not enough) 6 x 8 = 48, therefore 8 boxes are needed.
4 x 7 = 28 pens (not enough) 5 x 7 = 35, therefore 5 packs.
9 x 6 = 54 oranges (not enough) 9 x 7 = 63, therefore 7 bags will be needed.
