- 2. What is plot? Plot is the series of related events that make up a story. Most plots are built from four elements: - introduction/exposition - complications - climax - resolution
- 3. Elements of Plot The introduction , or exposition , tells us who the characters are and what their conflict is. Complications occur as the characters take steps to deal with the conflict . The climax is the most exciting moment of the story, when the outcome must be decided one way or another. Climax The resolution is the final part of the story, where the conflict is resolved. It was too late. Either he’d made it to Big Thumb, or . . . What worried him most however, wasn’t that it was too late. What worried him most, what really ate at his insides, was the fear that it wasn’t too late. What if Zero was still alive, desperately crawling across the dirt searching for water?
