THEMES AND NARRATIVE STRUCTURES • Themes: • Fashion, clothing, body positivity and image, social media, retail and business, female empowerment and modelling. • Narrative Structure: Open- The topic is still relevant within our society Non linear- The documentary goes back and forth in time Singular- There is only a single subject within the documentary Segmented- Within the single subject there are many different topics

CAMERA WORK AND MISE-EN- SCENE • Camera work: Interviews- The camera is positioned at around eye level with mid shots/ mid close ups and close-ups all being used to give the viewer an easier time reading emotion. It also allows the viewer to see there body which can be a large part of a conversation because of the body language. The rule of thirds is used within the interview meaning the interviewee are positioned to camera left or right looking into the looking space. Establishing shots are used for context and are used when they are in the shopping centre near the end. Mise-en-Scene: They are all wearing their normal clothes and most likely with dry makeup during the interview. They will be wearing there normal makeup as well. Everything in the scene must be relevant to the topic so in the interviews the guy was in a warehouse/meeting room with clothes on rails. Other people were in fashion rooms such as the clothing designer. Georgina Horne, plus size blogger, was videoed in a gym with her personal trainer as her focus was wanting to be slimmer for her children and for her wedding day. The modelling lady in Milk was placed within the studio with cameras and light ewuipment. The lighting would have been soft lighting. Social media ws used extensively within the clip
