Optimizing Usage
Tools and operators are working
in different speed. While vessels
docking at port might vary in
cargo size. Not to mention other
factor might influence, e.g.
weather. With the help of IOT
tool to read crane position,
status, GPS position signals of
trucks, could sync movement of
trucks and containers to reduce
idling time.

Understanding such patterns
makes it possible to either
find solutions to overcome the
roadblocks, or sync
operations to factor such
limitations, ultimately
enhancing productivity
Preventive Maintenance
Harvesting operational data
from sensors placed inside
machines makes it possible to
predict when a part might fail,
paving way for a more effective
maintenance schedule as
opposed to following the
maintenance schedule
recommended by the
manufacturer.
Such an approach allow for
timely replacements, pre-
empting the catastrophic
effects, including spoil over
effects of disruption of
operations caused by
machinery breakdown or parts
failure, and result in significant
direct and indirect savings.
Accurate Predictions
Create projection on when a
container will be available for
pick up.
This primarily helps the trucking
company to receive information
some couple days in advance,
not requiring to continually
check back application to
confirm container availability
and then make an appointment.
This will include in complete
tracking information provided for
customer.
For example in what vessel it's
shipped, vessel's position,
vessel's status, how many times
needed for unloading process,
prediction when the cargo ready
to pick.
