This article examines the transition to the K-12 educational system in the Philippines and assesses the academic performance of K-12 students using a standardized test. The study found that STEM and ABM students scored above average while HUMSS, GAS, and TVL students scored at or below average. This highlights challenges in the implementation of the K-12 curriculum. The research helps address gaps in understanding student competencies and can inform policies to improve the K-12 system.
