This document outlines 10 positive farm labor management practices that can benefit farmers and employees. It is based on research interviewing over 100 employees on 12 farms. Implementing practices like respectful treatment, fair compensation, and safe working conditions can increase employee retention and satisfaction, reducing costs for farmers. It also improves productivity and product quality, allowing farms to demand better prices. Many strategies to adopt these practices involve low or no costs for farmers. The practices aim to create mutual benefits for farms, workers, and agricultural communities.
