State of Florida: Possible EDU Technology Modernization Delay

The State of Florida may fail to meet its 2014 educational technology modernization goals due to budget shortfalls. The Department of Education requested $442 million for technology upgrades, including $239 million for wireless infrastructure, but the Governor's budget only allocated $100 million. This will likely delay implementing new standards if the technology is not ready by fall 2014.
