October 2012 (Detailed Monthly Summary) I finished my Ancillary 1 production and began research into 3 similar products to ancillary 2. I listened to existing radio adverts on youtube then copied the link into a word document and analysed them. I then began to write my radio advert script after researching existing products and taking influence from texts adopting persuasive techniques. Finish radio advert script and research real newspaper conventions November 2012 (Detailed Monthly Summary) I researched real newspaper products such as the guardian and the Manchester evening news taking note of conventions and certain techniques to attract specific audiences to the products. I copied these into a word document and analysed them also. I then analysed the music magazine that I created for my AS year in relation to the concept of genre and began an essay on it. Finish research into artist, genre and narrative then begin market research stages of my project. December 2012 (Detailed Monthly Summary) I thought of questions I could ask my fellow students and friends to design my audience preference questionnaire, wrote it up and printed a number of copies to hand out around college and find out what people prefer in modern newspapers nowadays. I handed them out to ten people and waited to receive the feedback. Allocate results for market research, summarise and analyse them. Mon W/B 07/01/13 (Detailed Weekly Summary) I allocated my market research results into pie charts on Microsoft excel after waiting to receive my feedback and put these into a word document. I then analysed these results summarising my final ideas. Begin initial ideas mind map using mind genius education software. Mon W/B 14/01/13 Finished initial ideas mind map and written a short report Begin masthead design and research different fonts and

Mon W/B 21/01/13 (Detailed Weekly Summary) I researched conventional font types for products today andput a variety of typefaces in a word document, settling for the medieval like font for my masthead. I chose a headline and a masthead font for my final product off DaFont.com and converted these so I could write text with them. I was influenced by the daily telegraphs masthead when choosing my final typeface. I then uploaded this word document onto my blog. Begin layout plans for front cover after researching pre- existing product layouts such as the Guardian and the Salford advertiser. Mon W/B 28/01/13 (Detailed Weekly Summary) Finished all layout plans for front cover using adobe Photoshop after researching conventional layouts for tabloid papers. I then began layout plans for inner page. Finish all layout plans for front cover and inner page then upload onto blog. Mon W/B 04/02/13 (Detailed Weekly Summary) I finished my 4 inner page layout plans and uploaded all my layout plans onto my blog and began writing the stories for my newspaper articles after researching persuasive techniques and real articles today. Finish the first newspaper article about stabbing and robbery in Montonfor my front cover and begin second article about a shop fire. Mon W/B 11/02/13 (Detailed Weekly Summary) Finished my main article to be shown on my front cover and second article about a shop fire adopting emotive techniques and a journalistic style after researching similar articles online. Finish all written articles and paste into final design on Photoshop. Mon W/B 18/02/13 (Detailed Weekly Summary) I finished my newspaper stories thoroughly, pasted these into my Photoshop document after creating my masthead and main headlinethen went out to take pictures for my final product. Finish taking photos for final design. Mon W/B 25/02/13 (Detailed Weekly Summary) I borrowed some police line do not cross tape from my mother’s workmate and did a final photo-shoot under the east lancs subway in Monton after taking pictures in Swinton and Wardley for my smaller articles. rearrangeall text, images, headlines, mastheads and offers on my front cover and begin creating taxi advert. Mon W/B 04/03/13 (Detailed Weekly Summary) I took influence in a taxi advert in Salford advertiser and completed my own taxi advert named direct cabs. I then finished my front cover final design and began work on my inner page. Do substantial amount of work on inner page and begin evaluation. Mon W/B 11/03/13 (Detailed Weekly Summary) I pasted my text onto my second page and rearranged pictures to the same style as my layout plans. I then finished the free £25 offer advert using colours from my previous taxi advert to continue my Finish question 1 and begin question 2 of my evaluation word processed.

Mon W/B 18/03/13 (Detailed Weekly Summary) I Finished question 1 and question 2 of my evaluation on Microsoft word and inserted screenshots and images of exisiting products to compare with my designs. I Created a closed group on Facebook and collected my audience feedback ready to construct question 3. Begin work on radio advert for ancillary two. Record and edit using reaper. Mon W/B 01/04/13 (Detailed Weekly Summary) Recorded my ancillary 2 radio advertisement using my script and edited on reaper adding background music and manipulating the interviewees voice to sound deeper. Then uploaded this onto sound cloud and my blog. Construct question 3 of my evaluation and begin question 4. Mon W/B 08/04/13 (Detailed Weekly Summary) I finished question 3 and recorded myself reading it out with a video camera I borrowed from college. I then edited this video inserting screenshots of what people have said on the closed group about my product using adobe premiere. I then completed question 4 and recreated this as a PowerPoint presentation and accompanying audio file. I then uploaded all this onto my blog. I uploaded my word processed document for question 1 also. Begin creating the prezi presentation for question two and upload onto blog when completed. Mon W/B 15/04/13 (Detailed Weekly Summary) I finished creating my prezi presentation for question 3 and uploaded this onto my blog using the embed code.
