INTRODUCTION ⮚ Smart Power failure alert is a power supply monitoring device that will trigger a message when the mains supply cuts off. ⮚ This device is helpful to inform the loss of power supply to some critical installation such as a pump in a fish tank. Once the message is sent, you will know that there is a loss of power supply and actions need to be taken to rectify the situation by providing alternative power supply or relocating the installation. 2 Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department

- 4. 4 Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department Working ⮚ A Transformer is used to Convert 240V to 12V AC supply. ⮚ Further, Using a Bridge rectifier Converting 12V AC to 5V DC supply. ⮚ This 5V DC supply can be used as an input to Arduino which can be used as a trigger to Arduino in order to send message using GSM module. ⮚ By using this GSM module the information of power failure is transmmited via SMS.
