This document discusses using PowerPoint for formative assessment in the classroom. Formative assessment is used to provide feedback to students and teachers, and is not graded. PowerPoint presentations can be used for formative assessment in several ways:
1) Presentations can instruct students and include hyperlinks to additional resources. Hyperlinks allow students to access related information on the web.
2) Lists and examples can be inserted from other programs to organize information for students.
3) Presentations can be printed as worksheets for students to complete, or used to guide students who then type their own answers in a separate document.
