WHAT IS MASS MEDIA

Mass media is media which is intended for a large
audience. It may take the form of broadcast media, as in
the case of television and radio, or print media, like
newspapers and magazines. Internet media can also attain
mass media status, and many mass media outlets maintain
a web presence to take advantage of the ready availability
of Internet in many regions of the world
TYPES OF MEDIUMS

 RADIO
 CINEMA
 OUTDOOR MEDIA
 MOBILE
 INTERNET
 TELEVISION
 NEWESPAPER
WHAT IS RADIO

Radio is the transmission of signals through free
space by electromagnetic waves with frequencies
significantly below visible light, in the radio
frequency range, from about 3 kHz to 300 GHz.
These waves are called radio waves. Electromagnetic
radiation travels by means of oscillating
electromagnetic fields that pass through the air and
                 the vacuum of space.
WHO INVENTED IT

Guglielmo Marconi was the one to invent the
radio he got the idea from Henrich Hertz and
got the idea of radio waves and decided it can
be used to receive and send telegraphic
messages that is how he transmitted radio
waves all over the Atlantic ocean in 1995
WHEN WAS IT
                    INVENTED

Radio owes its development to two other inventions, the
telegraph and the telephone, all three technologies are
closely related. Radio technology began as "wireless
                        telegraphy".
Radio can refer to either the electronic appliance that we
listen with or the content listened to. However, it all
started with the discovery of "radio waves" -
electromagnetic waves that have the capacity to transmit
music, speech, pictures and other data invisibly through
                           the air
HOW WAS IT INVENTED

In England, a young Italian experimenter named
Guglielmo Marconi had been hard at work building a
device for wireless telegraphy. The young Marconi had
taken out the first wireless telegraphy patent in England in
1896. His device had only a two-circuit system, which
some said could not transmit "across a pond." Later
Marconi set up long-distance demonstrations, using a
Tesla oscillator to transmit the signals across the English
                          Channel.
MY PERSPECTIVE ON
                               RADIO

Good as well as bad
GOOD;
The good points are;
•Entertains
•Keeps you updated
•Gives current affairs
•Talks about compititons
CONTINUE……

Bad;
To much talking by radio jokeys
•Plays very old songs
Other wise radio has a positive impact on me
