NASA will award contracts totaling $30 billion to three companies - Russia's Roscosmos, the European Space Agency, and India's ISRO - by January 31, 2021 to manufacture new space shuttles and expand the International Space Station. SpaceX will retire from flights to the ISS in 2021 and end its space program, as NASA seeks other partners to develop the next generation of space transportation under new programs starting in 2021.
