- 3. BREIF • The science department wants us a science 1 poster appeal new students • Must attract 16-18 year students • Needs scaling whenever it is needed to be altered • Predominately attracts females (optional)
- 4. VICTORINA • Imagery inspired by the Victorians • Very elegant drawings of upper class • Imagery also represent the industrial revolution • Smooth drawing style e.g. faces(unsaturated)
- 5. Science fiction • Stories incorporates technology and unknown worlds to create a story • Features aliens and robots • Allows the audience to experience unfamiliar environments • Relies on terror theme
- 6. King kong • 3D san serif typeface • Feel is terrifying • Airplanes being destroyed • Focal point is the aggressive face
- 7. POP ART • Return to pop culture is the key • Appeals to a mass audience • Creative movement started in the 60’s • Imagery and font look dynamic
- 8. STEAMPUNK • Sub genre of science fiction • Incorporates victoriana and 19th century technology • Feels very historic • Cyborgs, machines and ‘steam’
- 9. CHRIS BACHOLO • Mixture of san serif typography and hand drawn font • Colours associated makes the imagery look historic • Unusual designed transporter • Good sense of movement

- 14. Why Steampunk • Like the technology and historic aspects of the genre • Contain very vibrant colour scheme • Imagery, especially woman, look elegant • Uses a lot of metal like silver
- 16. TYPOGRAPHY • Needs to have enough kerning to make the pipe text illegible • Develop my own text featuring pipes • Curves to guide the viewer through the title

- 18. STEAMPUNK COLOUR • Feels very masculine and empowering • Relates to the artist theme, making contrast of colours • Very rich colour scheme that conveys a vintage feel that is very historic • Gold for the text and blue for background

- 25. PROPOSAL • Include dynamic colour scheme to create a large contrast • Typography made of textures • Appeals to male students 1618 and predominately females • Tagline and imagery that promote science as fun and a exciting career opportunity
