“Providing mankind with accessible, reliable, and sustainable energy is
one of the most important missions of the third millennium. Only well-
coordinated and purposeful efforts of the global community can
significantly broaden access to energy services. To achieve sustainable
energy development it is vital to assure that all states have access to
advanced energy technologies through global dissemination and
exchange of knowledge in this field. Broad implementation of energy-
saving technologies and renewable energy sources is to contribute
significantly to solving the problem of energy poverty. Active support
and persistent promotion of initiatives targeted at enhancing the
efficiency of international efforts to eliminate the problem of energy
poverty is one of the paramount goals of the global energy
community”
