WHAT IS THIS SIGIRIYA
Rock of Sigiriya is actually a rocked remained alone with the
soil around it washed away long time ago. before king Kashyapa turn
this rock into a fortress sigiriya was civilized .
king Kashyapa is son of king Dathusena who reigned
in capital of Anuradhapura. kashyapa put his father in to death
and ran away to Matale area and found this giant rock.
before occupation of sigiriya by king kashyapa ,
sigiriya was a Buddhist monastery. This monastic complex consists of
38 caves which were in used from 3rd B.Sc. to 2nd c.e.
after king kashyapa came to sigiriya all the
Buddhist monks moved in to PIDURANGALA TEMPLE.
SIGIRIYA ROCK
Sigiriya consists of an ancient citadel built by King Kashyapa
during the 5th century. The Sigiriya site contains the ruins of an
upper palace located on the flat top of the rock, a mid-level terrace that includes
the Lion Gate an the mirror wall with its frescoes, the lower palaces located
behind the
lavish lower gardens, and moats an
ramparts which protected the citadel. The site was both a palace and a fortress.
The upper palace on the top of the rock includes cisterns cut into the rock that
still retain water.
The moats and walls that surround the lower palace are still exquisitely beautiful.
TERRACE OF THE LIONS PAWS
The sculpted lion's head which might have been breathtaking
had the power to win the admiration of the visitors to
sigiriya of the days goes by as mentioned in some of the
poems of the graffiti .how ever at present only the
colossal front two paws of the lion are visible.
Then access to the top of the rock from the lion’s paw
terrace had branches out through the lion's mouth the
gigantic size of the lion’s head could be gauged from the
cut marks left on the rock face to indicate the limit of
its construction .the two paws which remain now of the lion
had been constructed in brick and plastered with thick
layer of lime mortar.
THOESE DAYS HOW KING KASHYAPA GET OVER TO HIS UPPER PALACE ?
DID HE USED STAIRCASE TO CLIMB UP ?
DID HE USED A SECRET ELEVATOR ?
OR
DID HE USED A FLYING MACHINE ?....
WHAT IF KING KASHYAPA USED A FLYING MACHINE TO CLIMB UP ...
LONG TIME AGO THERE WAS A HINDU LEGEND KING CALLED “RAVANA”.
HE RULED SRILANAKA.
ACCORDING TO THE MYTH RAVANA HAD A FLYING MACHINE CALLED
“DANDUMONARAYA”. THIS AMAZING TECHNOLOGY WE HAD BEFORE
ALL THESE ANURADAPURA ,SIGIRI KINGDOMS BEGINS.
IF KING KASHYAPA ALSO HAD A FLYING MECHINE SIMILAR TO WHAT
RAVANA HAD,
WHAT WILL IT LOOKS LIKE......
KING KASHYAPA’S FLYING MACHINE
“ SINHAGIRI YATHRA “
THIS “ SINHAGIRI YATHRA “ FLYING MACHINE WORKS WITH WIND
POWER .
AS YOU CAN SEE WIND COMES THROUG THE FRONT FAN WINGS INTO
THE MACHINE.
THEN IT GOSE TO THE BLOWER PART THEN TO THE BATTERY SYSTEM
.THIS BETTERY SYSTEM MAKE SOME CURRENT AND GIVES IT TO THE
MAIN ENGINS LOCATED BESIDE THE BETTERY SYSTEM .
THAT POWER HELPS TO WORK LEFT AND RIGHT WINGS.
IN OTHER SIDE BATTERY POWER GOES TO THE TAIL PART AND GIVES
POWER TO WORK THE TAIL WING.
WINGS ARE MADE WITH LEATHER AND THE BODY PART COVERD
WITH IORN COVER.
BATTERY TECHNOLOGY THAT USED TO GIVE
CURRENT TO ‘ SINHAGIRI YATHRA ‘
THIS BATTERY SYSTEM KNOWN AS “BAGHDAD BATTERY “
IT USED BY ANCIENT EGYPTIAN PEOPLE.
IT’S A NATURAL CLAY MADE SEALED POT
