Samples of Opening Speech For Presentations
Audience now prefers informal approach in presentations but
sounds professional. People often face this dilemma that, how to
start it? What should be the opening speech? How much time
should we take for introduction part?
Begin your presentation strong
and interesting, increases
success.
Opening your persuasive speech
completely depends upon your
style and choice.
Be yourself, avoid putting artistic
elements. So, choose something
with which you are completely
comfortable.
1. Greetings
Samples of Opening Speech For Presentations
Very basic, common and important step you need to greet
your audience. Wish them : Good morning/Afternoon or
Evening.
Samples of Opening Speech For Presentations
2. Give compliment and show gratitude towards your
audience
Secondly, just after wishing greeting to your audience give
them compliment and choose some words which show that
you are delighted to see them there.
For example:
It’s an honor / great to
see you all, Thank you
for coming here today.
Samples of Opening Speech For Presentations
3. Give your introduction
Then give your introduction start from telling your name. You
can show some casual attitude by telling your short/nick name.
example: My name is Timothy Wooi, friends call me Tim
sometimes.
Then introduce yourself
professionally and give quite
information about what you do and
why are here today.
Example: I am a software Specialist
by profession and working in UUM.
I am here today to provide you some
exciting information about new
software, which is going to be very
beneficial for you in future.
Samples of Opening Speech For Presentations
4. Signpost
Put all your information across using the ‘guided format’,
projected on the Screen.
Highlight your proposal and
key point by which you can
implement and utilize that idea
effectively.
Collect these points to make a
summary and concise
illustration
