Brighton & Hove Energy Services Coop (BHESCO) aims to develop a clean, affordable heat network in Firle Village, leveraging a 600kW biomass boiler and a 500kW LPG backup. The project anticipates reducing CO2 emissions significantly and delivering financial savings to participants, with collective savings estimated at £12,087 in the first year. BHESCO requires full participation from local households to proceed, with plans for a crowdfunding campaign to fund the construction, aiming for completion by March 2021.
