Cirrus clouds are high, thin, white clouds that occur in patches or sheets and wispy fibers and are associated with good weather. Cumulus clouds consist of individual rounded masses with flat bases that rise like domes or towers and are also associated with good weather. Stratus clouds form sheets or layers that cover much of the sky with minor breaks but no distinct individual clouds and are usually associated with rainy weather.
