Meaning: “to guide” means to indicate to point out on

suggestions for the progress.
Kitson’s view: “guidance is individualized edu.”
Fowler’s view: “purpose of guidance is to help the
student to make more favorable adjustment.
Basic assumptions of guidance
1. The differences between individuals in native
capacities and abilities.
2. Variations within the individuals are signifince.
3. Native abilities are not equally specialized.
4. Abilities and optiwards are not dependent upon
face, color or sex.
5. guidance is progressive self-directions, not
presumption.
