OVERVIEW
▪ Introduction.
▪ Why is it important?
▪ How can we help others.
▪ Benefits of helping.
▪ Conclusion.
z
INTRODUCTION
There is a saying. “The greatest happiness of life is
helping others” . Yes. It is absolutely true! By
helping others, not only they feel overwhelmed but
you too. Giving or helping also connects us to
others, creating stronger communities and helping
to build a happier society for everyone. When we’re
kind to people it strengthens our connections with
them and provides a source of support.
z
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT ?
▪ Doing kind things for strangers helps build co-
operation, trust and a sense of safety in our
communities.
▪ It helps in the proper and peaceful working of
societies.
▪ When one person performs a good deed, it causes a
chain reaction of other altruistic acts and thus other
people imitate it and so the act of helping grows.
z
HOW CAN WE HELP OTHERS.
▪ The easiest way to know how you can help others is
simply to ask them. Talk to a family member or friend,
or even a stranger. Ask them what they mostly need
help with, and offer your services.
z
▪ Look for opportunities to help and lend a hand without
being asked. Don’t wait for someone to ask for help
train yourself to think about all the different ways you
can help people.
▪ Teaching others helps them learn valuable skills they
might need in life. Offer to teach friends and family
members who are struggling with a skill you know
well.
z
▪ Comfort and compassion can make them feel better
as they grieve. Be the first to offer condolences when
someone you care about is suffering. Do what you
can to give comfort, whether they need a hug, a
shoulder to cry on, or a helping hand.
z
▪ Sometimes, listening is more helpful and healing than practical
assistance. Not everybody is looking for hands-on help or a
solution to their problems; they just need to let out their feelings
while a supportive friend listens.
z
BENEFITS OF HELPING.
▪ It creates a sense of belonging and reduces isolation.
▪ It helps to keep things in perspective.
▪ It will give you a sense of renewal.
z
▪ It'll boost your self-esteem.
▪ When you help others, it can promote physiological
changes in the brain linked with happiness.
z
CONCLUSION
All of us can help other people and all can be the part of
the mechanism, which can change our life and make it
better. In any case, if you help other people, you
become happier than you were before and you can be
sure, that people will help you too
