This document outlines the steps a teacher will take in a lesson on a particular skill. The teacher will first ask students what they will be learning and doing that day. They will then provide context and an example of the skill. Students will have a chance to connect what they are learning to broader goals or standards. The teacher will define and provide examples and non-examples of the skill. Students will practice applying the skill with feedback. Finally, the class will discuss the importance of the skill and have a chance to share their own perspectives.
