This is because both reading and writing compliments each other and these skills are required when doing the other. By reading, one can expand their vocabulary and hence this will help one in writing as they are able to construct a meaningful essay.

This is because if the teacher in charge pick out a material that is more advanced than the students level themselves, hence they would not be able to execute the writing task. That is why it is important to pick materials that is at the same pace with the students competency and level of understanding.
