- 2. Removing backround When I first imported my main cover lines image for the contents page I had to cut it down. I did this by using the quick selection tool in the tool bar. I used the tool to select all the areas I wanted to keep and then rasterised my layer but right clicking on it and selected rasterise. I then when to select invers and pressed delete this lest me with only the parts of the image I wanted to keep.
- 3. MORE CUTTING OUT In order to remove all of the back round I used the quick select tool to cut out areas I could not get with the magic wand.
- 4. SPOT HEALING TOOL After removing the background I used the spot healing tool to blend the gap and to make it look more natural
- 5. Auto tone In order to lighten the tone of the image and make it easy to see and more appealing to the users I had to use the auto tone option in the images tab this mad the image brighter, which helps it to stand out more on the page
- 6. Spot healing In the original image the models forehead’s collection is patchy To fix this I used the spot Healing tool in the tool bar this tool allows me to cover up any blemishes. It important that I do this as because of ideology it is frowned upon to have anything but clear young and healthy looking skin.
- 7. hue In order to make my model standout more on the page I increased the hue of the image this makes the colours brighter and more defined, I did this by going to the adjustments tool bar in the layer column and clicking hue I then moved the sliders until the colours that I wanted to stand out where stronger than the others.
- 8. Colour balance When I input my other image’s I also changed the colours on them, I used the same tool bar as I did to change the hue and I used it to enhance the vibrancy of some colours in the shot.
- 9. BLUR IMAGE I also used the blur tool on my contents page to draw attention to the models face only I did this but only leaving the models face and part of the tee unblured. To do this I used the blur tool in the tool bar on the left hand side
- 10. CROP In order to make my editorial stand out I had to import a fount from dafount. Because it was not as regular fount I had to pink screen it and then remove the background I did this by using the rectangular marque tool to select the area I wanted. I then when to selected and inverse and pressed delete so that the white background would disappear.
- 11. Adding background To add a background to my cut out image I first when to file place and selected the background I wanted
- 12. One the image appeared I moved the layer to the bottom of the list so that it would not cover up my text or images, then resized the image so that it fit in my frame. After this I when to adjustments and changed the exposer so that the background would not distract my target audience from the text.
- 13. IMAGE STROKE I also applied an faint stroke in my image of the model so that she would stand out more against the back round I did this by going to adjustments, stroke and changing the colour to back while also decreasing the opacity.
- 14. Brightness adjustments I have added a brightness adjustment layer on my backgroun d so that the back round colours are less distracting to the text
- 15. Final manipulation and original As you can see during the contents page Production I have manipulated the images colours, lighting ,focus and I have removed the background in my opinion this has made the image more appealing in addition to this ,I believe its bright tone and striking colours will draw my target audience attention to the main article.
