Process for digipak
- 1. OpenPhotoshopandaddthe main image.Cropto the CD size Adda newlayer Newlayer
- 2. Goingon dafont,I usedthe ‘Dumbnerd’fontandcreatedthe artist’sname of the album.Selectand copy the text. Copy it to the frontcover of digipak Gettingridof the white backgroundusingthe magicwandtool and addedthe effectstothe text. Afteraddingthe effects,Ifree transformeditandpositioneditinthe topleftcorner.
- 3. Outcome Addinga newlayer,Istartedto make the album’sname,‘Renaissance of Reflection’ I alsodidthe same as the artist’sname,removingthe white background,addingthe effects andfree transformingitandmovingitat the bottomof the image.
- 4. Firstdraft of CD front cover Afterhavinga secondlook,Iwentback andenlargedthe ‘AnnaB’,because itwasnot captivating enough. Final outcome Creationof the spine Startingwiththe albumtitle,Iremovedthe white background,addedeffectsandfree transformedit and placeditinthe middle.
- 5. Aftermakingthe title of the album,Iturnt the layeroff and addeda new layer,tocreate my black backgroundusingthe paintbrushtool. Aftercreatingthe blackbackground,I turntthe albumtitle layerbackon to start editingitproperly together.
- 6. Creatinga newlayer,Iaddedmy recordlabel logo.Icopiedandfree transformedittothe spine.I placediton the right side of the spine. At the top of the spine,Iusedmy artist’sname and copieditto the spine.Iaddedcolour,effectsand free transformedittofit.
- 7. Creationof inside cover I openedanewpage and made my canvas.I addeda new layerand addedthe image formy inside cover.
- 8. To make the signature of the artist,I usedthe font ‘AntroVectra’fontfromdafont.I copiedit to the inside coverimage. I addedcolourand effectstothe fontand free transformit.Iplaced towardsthe lowerpart of the inside cover.
- 9. To create the message inthe inside cover,Iusedthe exactsame fontanddidthisbitby bitto fit exactlybetweenthe edge of the image andarmof the artist.
- 11. I addedthembitby bit,bycreatingnewlayersforeach one and removingthe white background, addingcolourand free transformingthemintoposition. First draftof inside cover Creationof back cover Openinganewfile,Iaddedthe image forthe back cover.
- 12. After,Icreateda newlayerandput the artist’sname at the top. I didthe same as before andaddeditto the image.
- 13. Creatinga newlayer,Istartedto put the namesof the songsincludedinthe album, bycreatinga newlayerforeach one,addingcolour,effectsandfree transformingthemtoposition.Imade sure to make themfitall on the leftside.
- 14. Afteraddingall the songtitles,Iaddedthe barcode in the bottom leftof the back cover.
- 15. Next,Iaddedthe name of the albumon the rightside of the back cover.I usedthe same font of as the artist’sname and free transformedittoa horizontal position. I addedthe artist’sname above the albumtitle.
- 16. Firstdraft of back cover Creationof CD compartment To start withthe CD compartment,I addedthe CD template andalsoaddedanew layerto colour the middle partof the CD and makingthe CD part white.
- 17. I addeda newlayerandthe artist’sname.Ileftitblack,but addedsome shadowstoadd some dimension. Finally,Iaddedthe albumtitle anddidthe same thingas the title anfree transformeditat the lower endof the CD.
