Operation: Gaging station designed to check 3, 4, 5 and 6 cylinder engine blocks presented randomly to the gaging station. Thanks to the fast response time of the measuring system, a single Etamic spindle mounted on a servo controlled 3 axis slide mechanism, can inspect all the cylinder bores at multiple levels within the machine cycle time. Each spindle has air jets specially configured to minimize the influence of surface finish on the measuring accuracy of the system.
