The skill lesson we worked on today was character development. One thing we understand better is that character development has help us a lot to understand how characters change from the beginning to the story to the end of the story. This skill will help me be a better reader because we found out how the characters act during and to the end of the story. We are going to remember how to use this skill by keeping it in my mind and using it when reading a story. One piece of advice we would give to someone working with this skills is to find any information they can and follow everything they ask you to do. In order to improve we will need to read the story and see the words that describes how the characters act and change during the story. One more thing we want you to know is that this skill help the character. Also, do not lose focus pay attention on your skill every time your working on it.
Character Map Actions: Shrek ate and moved on Wherever Shrek went, every living creature fled. He wandered on, wondering if he’d ever meet his princess. Feelings: Daze Happy Hungry Surprise Says: “ It was only a bad dream… a horrible dream!” “ What a lovely strench” “ Tell my fortune, madam, and I’ll let you have a few of my race lice” Appearance (Look): lumpy nose pointy head wicked eyes so livid red nose hairy look is scary
Background What it is? Characterization, also called character description, means bringing characters to life in writing. Character description is simply describing what the character is doing, saying, or thinking. They describe it so well it is as if you are the character your self. For example, in the story ‘Shrek’ they described how Shrek was a child and how he would breath fire.
Mr. Nehme Questions: How do you teach my skill in your class? What do you think is difficult about teaching your skill? What advice can you give us for our project? Responds: I teach character development through my instructions where I emphasize the importance of my lesson into real life. Different culture in class sometime s makes it difficult. Yet, at the end differences of opinion is ok. Need to be practices.
