This document provides instructions for Project 2 of an Architecture Design Studio course. Students must design a confined "Life Capsule" space of no more than 12 cubic meters for 24-hour single occupancy. The project aims to develop understanding of how the human body relates to and informs space through scale, proportion and behavior. Students will critically examine activities and anthropometrics to design a space that improves comfort, safety and productivity. They must present their design on A2 panels showing the relationship between body and space through drawings, models and a 5-minute verbal presentation. The project will be assessed based on defined user needs, creative use of space, model quality, drawings demonstrating scale and interaction, and design/team process.
