Project Management: Getting the basics right Considerations to a project. Balancing act Every activity will have a  cost  implication, an aspect of  quality , and a  time  implication. Any adjustments to one consideration will have an impact on the other two considerations Optimise -GB Cost Quality Time
Project Management: Getting the basics right Considerations to a project. Balancing act There may be times when one consideration will take priority over another. An example of a legal requirement to get something done may require immediate attention. Time therefore becomes a priority, so more expensive (external) resource is pulled in to get the job done Optimise -GB
Project Management: Getting the basics right Before a project is started you need  to understand what you are doing,  why you are doing it, what are the benefits, who is going to do it, how are they going  to do it and when Business Case Project Plan Communication Plan Resource Plan Risk Analysis Optimise -GB
