-: Chapter 01:-
Introduce
*What is Blood Donation?
-A blood donation occurs when a person voluntarily has
blood drawn and used for transfusions and/or made into
Biopharmaceutical medications by a process called
fractionation (separation of whole-blood components).
*Who needs Blood transfusion?
-Thousands of patients need blood transfusions like patients
suffering from hemorrhage due to casualties, surgical
procedures and labours; hemophilic patients; patients
suffering from chronic anemia and malignancy; thalassemic
patients; patients who have had organ transplantation,
neonatal jaundice and others. Further, emergency occurs
every second. We need to be prepared to face any kind of
adversities natural as well as man-made. Our wishes that
nobody needs blood by God’s grace, but for those who need
5
blood, we prove to be a life saver. Donating blood is the
noblest gift one can offer and we provide a connecting link
between the donor and the receiver.
Conte…
*Why you should donate Blood?
- To save a life. Donating blood may be one of the most
important things you’ve ever done.
- To help the poor patients, who cannot buy when it
emergency need.
- We should thing, it’s about a life. This accident could be
with you or with your any relatives at any time. If you not
donate the blood in emergency need when you are able to
do, what do you thing, you can collect the blood in your
emergency need? May be not, because it’s about luck.
- Right now, not enough people donate blood. Only 4 people
out of 100 who are able to donate blood do so.
6
- Blood is in constant demand for accident victims, surgery
and cancer patients and more.
-: Chapter 02:-
Methodology of the report
For every successful report, we need to collect the data from
the appropriate source. Other than it’s hard to make a
successful report.
*Source of the data.
There are two sources of data, like;
• Primary source of data.
• Secondary source of data.
Primary source of data:
We collected our primary data by conversation with
respective organization, people, and friends and with our
parents also. Particular work exposures on different desk of
the various locations. Relevant file study as provide by the
organization.
7
Secondary source of data:
Going through the different documents and papers
developed by the Blood donation organization by others
source is Secondary source of data. Data also collect
observation and public source.
We collect the data by using two methods.
-: Chapter 03:-
Targeted area
We target some particular area from where we can get the
most suitable information to make this project better and
targeted peoples are those whose are suffer from this
problem right now.
The target area and peoples are as follow:
• East West Medical College which is near of our campus.
• Shondhani East west medical college branch.
• Badhon Dinajpur medical college branch.
• Apollo Blood bank, Boshundhora branch
8
• Blood bank
• Red crescent society
We have targeted those areas to work on this topic. In a
short time we cannot finish our work. We are continuously
working on this topic.
-: Chapter 04:-
Objective of the report
The objectives of the report are following:
To collect the necessary information from suitable
source.
To encourage the people to donate blood.
To contact with some of Medicals and Group whose are
work on blood donation.
To build up a link or a great connection with them.
9
To conversation with them identify how can work on
this topic voluntary.
To improve the social and responsibility for blood
donation.
-: Chapter 05:-
Project description
Planning:
A better planning is the key of success. Without planning on
one can be overcome from any kind of problem. The total
success of a project depends on a sound planning. we have
used different ideas to make our project successful.
We discus with our entire team members about this
project.
Try to find out problems and try to give a solution.
10
Making awareness among our friends first, than in other
people.
Discus with the Blood donation Organization.
And finally save some life by supply the blood or
donors.
We will arrange some campaign on this topic.
Project tour:
We are working in different place. Which are directly
related to the project. To make our project successful
Conte…
we are collecting the topic related data by visited
different area.
With this limited time we cannot finish our project.
Our project is in progress. With this limited time we
visited those areas.
East West Medical College, kamar para, Uttara.
Shandhani, East West Medical College baranch.
New market blood donation camp with Shandhani.
11
-: Chapter 06:-
Present condition of this Project
With this limited time, it’s quite impossible to make to
done. Our project work is in progress. We are trying to
make it done in earlier we can. But to make it earlier we will
not make unsuccessful project. We hope for best and we
trying to give our 100% to make it successful.
-: Chapter 07:-
Action of the people
There have some common Questions and Concerns about
Blood Donation in all the people. We are trying to give some
answer of some Questions are follow.
1. “I’m afraid.”
A lot of people are scared the first time, but after you make one
donation, you’ll wonder why you ever hesitated. There’s really
nothing to it! As Haley O”Brien, one of the first 16 year-olds
to donate blood in Pennsylvania stated, “Do it, get it done, it
doesn’t hurt!”
12
2. “Will I feel weak for the rest of the day?”
Your body will begin to replace the blood you donated
immediately. After some cookies and juice, most people
resume their regular activities after donating.
3. “I’m too busy to donate.”
We understand you are extremely busy. One out of five people
who enter a hospital will need a blood transfusion. Blood
donation is the act of giving life. Although the whole process
can take up to an hour of your time, it can provide an entire
lifetime for a local patient.
4. “How many people donate blood?”
Only 5% of the population donates blood. If only 10% of the
population would donate, it would very possibly
eliminate all blood shortages.
5. “Would you want my blood even though I’ve had an
illness or am taking medication?”
If you have any doubts about your eligibility to donate, you can
discuss them with someone from the Blood Bank staff. Most
people who feel they can’t give blood because of a medical
condition or medication are surprised to
find out they CAN donate safely for local patients.
6. “Do I have enough blood to spare?”
If you are healthy and weigh at least 110 pounds, you have 10-
12 pints in your body and can easily spare one
pint. You should be able to donate regularly every eight weeks
without any problem. The fluids in your body are completely
13
replaced 24 hours after donation.
6. “I’m afraid of getting AIDS through blood donation.”
There is no way you can be exposed to the AIDS virus by
donating blood. All needles and equipment are pre-packaged,
sterile and disposable. The blood bank is under strict regulation
and nothing is ever re-used on another donor.
8. “I heard it hurts. What can I do to be best prepared to
donate?”
Most donors say they barely felt anything and they describe
blood donation as a slight pinch on the inside of
your arm. Eating a good meal and hydrating yourself with
caffeine-free drinks helps to make sure your donation
experience is a positive one.
-: Chapter 08:-
Activities
Organization activities:
For suffering people they are always try to solve the
problems in many ways. Some of activities of those
organizations are following.
Collect the rear Blood group and store it.
Supply it in need for free.
Arranging regular Blood donation camp in different
area.
14
Encourage the people to donate the blood.
And many things they are doing.
Government activities:
On this topic our Government also takes some stapes.
Government activities follow.
Making awareness among the people
Donate money to the poor patients.
Arrange camp to donate Blood.
Produce the Blood Bank
And many things.
Our activities:
In this short time its nit possible solve above all the
problems.
We are trying to solve some problems as:
At first trying to make awareness among our friends.
Making awareness in general people.
Visit different organization.
Making good connection with them.
15
First target was making awareness among our friends and
general people. It’s us believes that we can do it. We
continuously are making conversation with them. Not only
in our university but we also want to work with many others
private university in Dhaka. And this target is in progress.
Second target is most important one, that’s not only
making awareness but also we will do it practically. We will
collect some donor who will donate blood in any time if
need. We want to make a organization to work on this topic
permanently.
(Let’s think sensitively about the victim.)
-: Chapter 09:-
Findings
In this time we are trying to find some problems and
solution of those problems. Our findings are following.
Problems:
90% peoples afraid to donate blood.
75% peoples don’t have the proper idea about blood
donation.
For store the blood because it has short life.
16
Timing problems (to find).
Rear blood group.
Some of organizations make it profitable business.
Solution:
Making awareness among the people.
Talk with them to give proper ideas.
Make the donors active or take diction on time.
Regular contact with the rear blood group donors.
Regular monitoring by the government.
(We also can be the victim of this problem at any time.
Then, what will we do?)
-: Chapter 10:-
Result of this work
We can not finish our work at this short time. Our project
work is in progress. Its report is one kind of project progress
report.
Till now we are working on this project. We will give our
best to make this project successful.
17
May almighty help’s us.
