• #2: Prologic First is a group of affiliated employee owned companies that develops and internationally markets hospitality software solutions. It has been doing so since 1998.
• #3: Through these 10 years, Prologic First has introduced many innovations. Starting with the launch of the 1 st Windows based integrated hospitality software solution in 1999. A solution known as WISH. WISH caters to almost all business software needs of all departments of a hotel. Within the last 3 years, Prologic First has launched products based on all the current technologies. It has launched a mobile handheld POS that uniquely matches the desktop version feature for feature and also offers a unique frequent diner profiler add-in. In 2008 Prologic First launched the first hotel PMS based on Microsoft .NET technology. The technology platform that is currently the most future-proof and Windows 7 ready. Latest in Prologic First’s innovations is the launch of the first and only .NET based multi-property web based accounting system that is compatible with the Uniform System of Hospitality Accounting.
• #5: The corollary is, of course, that Prologic First is also a technology leader. It has kept pace with evolving technologies. Delivering two key benefits to it’s users. The benefits delivered by newer technologies and protection against obsolescence. It should be noted that Prologic First is Microsoft Gold Partner. No surprise then that it keeps pace with developments in technology and the latest development platforms offered by Microsoft.
• #6: Not just products and solutions used at individual hotels. Prologic First has also innovated with technology applications for chain enterprises. Spanning applications for electronic distribution, guest relationship management, administration of food & beverage chains and back office accounting.
• #7: While delivering integrated software solutions for hotels earns Prologic First most revenues, it also earns significant revenues by supplying unbundled modules of WISH as add-ins to 3 rd party PMSs. Such unbundled modules include it’s Point of Sale, Call Accounting, Voice Mail, Internet Access & Distribution solution and, most frequently, it’s integrated back office software solution including purchase, inventory and back office accounting. 3 rd party software that is interfaced with Prologic First software modules include Fidelio, Opera & Protel Front Office / PMS; Micros & Infrasys POS; Sun & Sage Financials; Opera Materials Control; Sage Payroll, etc.
• #8: Prologic First offers an array of technical services to make your computerization projects successful. From initial planning & configuration through to implementation and thereafter operations & maintenance. Prologic First renders technical services from it’s regional offices in India, UAE, UK and Malaysia. Offices that are collectively manned by more than 60 technical professionals. A distinctive feature of the Prologic First technical team is that many of them have substantial experience in hospitality and IT. Making it possible for them to translate IT into benefits for hoteliers.
• #9: Apart from software, Prologic First also offers systems integration services. Here is an example of a project executed by Prologic First for an amusement park in the Middle East. The system includes computer servers, ticketing software, retail and F&B POS, payment gateway, web booking extension, access control, electronic lockers and fail over systems. Prologic First was the supplier of all systems and the project in-charge for successful installation, integration and implementation. Post-implementation, it continues to provide on-going maintenance services.
• #12: Prologic First is the 2 nd largest supplier of hospitality IT systems in the GCC. It has more than 230 customers in the region alone. Customers like Abu Dhabi National Hotels, Golden Tulip and Ramada Ajman use Prologic First integrated software solution for hotels – WISH. On the other hand hotels like Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet and Crown Plaza use add-in solutions that interface with their installed 3 rd party PMS (mostly Opera). Some other significant customers on this list are – Chowking – a fast growing chain of restaurants that uses handheld POS and back office systems from Prologic First at each of their outlets. Intercat – a very large institutional catering company (that caters to up to 35,000 meals a day) uses F&B and back office software from Prologic First to manage their operations. Sahara Golf & Country Club Kuwait uses leisure related software from Prologic First integrated into a complete solution including retail and back office sofwtare modules.
