- #2: I hope you found the last presentation somewhat convincing, because this one builds on it.
- #4: I’m going to assume our objective with this project is to make a site that is universally acceptable in the shortest amount of time that requires the least amount of maintenance.
- #5: There’s no problem with Cynthia’s design model; it just isn’t the optimal method to use if we can take advantage of technologies she didn’t. A production step isn’t really possible with merged layout and markup. Production will take an incredibly long time, as visual design and content markup are very dependent with HTML, unlike CSS & HTML, which will make Production a trivial or nonexistent step.
- #6: The problem is with the way we see the process. Now how can we get around this dependency? We can make a new step called “production” and say these steps are separate, and then we merge them, this is a misnomer. The only real solution is CSS.
- #8: This will add significant time to production and even more time to maintenance, because we’re integrating what should be two documents into one.
- #9: Production is the name for the step where we integrate multiple documents into one. If we don’t have to integrate these documents, the step disappears.
